Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

Environment Control is seeking a dependable and motivated Floating Field Technician to provide routine and specialty cleaning services at multiple client locations throughout North Carolina. This position requires extensive travel, with approximately 70% of work time spent on the road supporting various accounts, special projects, floor care services, and staffing needs.

The ideal candidate is flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining high service standards at every location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

RoutineServices

● Perform daily and periodic janitorial services at assigned client locations.

● Clean offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces.

● Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and sanitize surfaces.

● Replenish consumable supplies such as paper products and soap.

● Follow all company cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Special Services

● Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.

● Assist with post-construction cleaning and deep cleaning projects.

● Support special event setups and facility service requests.

● Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

● Respond to customer service needs and coverage requests at various sites.

Travel and Field Support

● Travel to multiple customer locations throughout North Carolina.

● Provide coverage for staffing shortages, vacations, and special projects.

● Maintain communication with supervisors regarding site conditions, project progress, and customer concerns.

● Ensure all assigned work is completed according to company quality standards.

Qualifications

Required

● Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record.

● Current automobile insurance.

● Ability to travel extensively throughout North Carolina.

● Reliable attendance and punctuality. ● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods. ● Ability to pass a background check and any client-specific requirements.

Preferred

● Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance experience.

● Experience with commercial floor care equipment and specialty cleaning services.

● Strong customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

● Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

● Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

● Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

● Ability to safely operate company vehicles and cleaning equipment.
