Floating Inspector - In Process Inspection

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Floating Inspector to join our team in the Cylindrical Grinding Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting in-process parts, ensuring quality standards are met, and acting as a liaison between the quality lab and production department. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with measuring tools, and excellent communication skills to support production and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process parts within the Cylindrical Grinding Department to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to accurately measure parts.
• Report any issues or non-conformances with in-process parts to the quality lab promptly.
• Act as a liaison between the quality lab and production department to facilitate communication and resolution of quality issues.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation related to inspections and quality control.
• Support production by providing timely feedback and ensuring parts meet specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience inspecting in-process parts, preferably within a cylindrical grinding or similar manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain inspection records.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively act as a liaison between departments.
• Ability to support production needs while maintaining quality standards.
