Floating Production Supervisor

Location: Sheboygan, WI

Shift: Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift based on business needs

Position Overview We are seeking a Floating Production Supervisor to provide leadership and operational support across multiple manufacturing departments. This position serves as a key resource by providing supervisory coverage during vacations, leaves of absence, and other staffing needs.

The ideal candidate is a flexible, hands-on leader who can adapt to changing priorities while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys leading teams across different shifts and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams across multiple manufacturing departments.
• Ensure daily production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production performance to maximize efficiency.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance and engagement.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Identify production challenges and implement effective corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and maintain operational continuity.
• Provide supervisory coverage on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Production Supervisor experience or 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Plastics manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development abilities.
• Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP is a plus.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be flexible and willing to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including extended periods on any shift, based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
