Floor Assistant

We are recruiting for experienced food handlers to work part-time in our cafe (16 hours per week) in our location at Avoca Mount Usher. Duties include:

• Customer Service - A high standard of customer service is required for the role, including assisting customers in person and via phone
• Barista - making coffees, serving fresh food to customers.
• Till use - scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Replenishing stock, ensuring the retail department is always in line with Avoca brand standards.
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
• Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in keeping with Avoca brand standard
• Ad-hoc duties outlined by your manager

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working in a busy cafe
• Waiting/Barista experience desired
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective communicator
• Motivated & self driven
• Customer focused
• Flexible and available to work both weekdays and weekends
