Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floor Specialist to join our dynamic cleaning and custodial team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of various flooring surfaces across our facilities. Duties

• Perform thorough floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore and enhance the appearance of different flooring types including tile, vinyl, carpet, and hardwood.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, extractors, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly by following proper procedures for mixing, application, and disposal of floor cleaning chemicals and chemical agents.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies, equipment, and furniture to facilitate thorough cleaning processes.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness by performing routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and detailed spot cleaning.
• Ensure environmental safety by adhering to proper handling of chemical agents and using environmentally friendly cleaning practices whenever possible.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to cleanliness standards and ensuring a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care techniques such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing.
• Familiarity with various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and carpet cleaners.
• Knowledge of safe handling procedures for floor cleaning chemicals and chemical agents.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing special attention or repair.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Prior janitorial or environmental services experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
