Floor Installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering exceptional results on every project. Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation using hand tools and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate placement of flooring materials
• Install various types of flooring such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with precision and attention to detail
• Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, caulking, trimming, and water damage restoration as needed
• Utilize hand tools and carpentry skills for fixture installation, trim carpentry, and cabinet setup
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, sealing, and finishing to achieve a polished look
• Assist with remodeling projects by applying construction painting, concrete finishing, and restoration industry best practices

Skills

• Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques including tile laying and water damage restoration
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders)
• Experience with construction estimating and site management processes
• Familiarity with the use of schematics for fixture installation and cabinetry work
• Knowledge of the restoration industry standards related to water damage repair and floor care
• Skilled in caulking, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, remodeling, and construction painting
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during projects
• Prior construction site experience preferred; handyman experience is a plus

Pay: $150.00 - $244.47 per day
