Floor Layer Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Install various types of flooring materials, such as carpet, vinyl, LVT
• Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the designated area
• Prepare the subfloor by cleaning, levelling, and repairing any imperfections
• Apply adhesive or other bonding agents to secure the flooring materials in place
• Use tools and equipment, such as power saws, tape measures, and trowels, to complete installation tasks
• Ensure that the flooring is properly aligned and meets quality standards
• Clean up work area and remove any debris after completing the installation

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a floor layer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting materials
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during installation

Note: A valid driver's license is required and a Skilled CSCS Card

Pay: £250.00-£500.00 per day

• Fleet, Hampshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
