Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various flooring surfaces across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help create safe, durable, and visually appealing floors that meet project specifications and client expectations. Duties

• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials to ensure proper flooring installation.
• Measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to fit designated spaces.
• Install a variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet according to manufacturer instructions and project plans. Ability to weld safety flooring is preferrable.
• Follow schematics and technical drawings precisely to ensure correct placement and alignment of flooring surfaces.
• Perform construction painting tasks related to flooring projects, such as sealing or finishing edges for a polished look.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely throughout each project phase.

Qualifications

• Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and measuring tapes.
• Strong skills with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience working with power tools safely and effectively on various materials.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: £15.50-£19.50 per hour
