Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our expanding team.

About the Role

This role involves carrying out a variety of flooring installations and repairs across occupied and void residential properties, primarily within the social housing sector.

You will be responsible for fitting vinyl and safety flooring to kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, and communal areas, along with carrying out floor preparation and associated repair works. We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail who takes pride in delivering a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Install vinyl, Polysafe, and safety flooring
• Carry out cap-and-cove installations and heat welding
• Prepare subfloors using smoothing compounds and floor preparation materials
• Lay hardboard and carry out minor floor repairs where required
• Remove and dispose of existing flooring materials safely
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within target times
• Update job progress and completion notes via company systems
• Work safely and professionally within occupied homes

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience fitting vinyl and safety flooring
• Previous experience working within social housing preferred
• Skilled in floor preparation, cap-and-cove, and heat welding
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and finishing standards
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence required
