Floor Manager

Key responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Supervise and lead front-of-house staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and service standards are met.

Motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment.

Assist with staff hiring, training, and daily briefings.

Customer Service:

Ensure a warm greeting and high-quality service for all customers.

Handle complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring quick resolutions.

Strive for a memorable customer experience to build loyalty.

Operational Efficiency:

Oversee daily café operations, including seating, table turnover, and timely food service.

Ensure the café is clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Coordinate events and maintain smooth operations.

Staff Support & Scheduling:

Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.

Monitor staff attendance and performance.

Support staff during busy periods and maintain smooth operations.

Health & Safety:

Ensure the café complies with health and safety standards, keeping the environment clean and safe.

Regularly check equipment and address maintenance issues.

Sales & Inventory:

Assist in monitoring sales and inventory, ensuring stock is replenished as needed.

Report any trends, issues, or supply needs to management.

Reporting & Communication:

Maintain open communication with management on operational and staffing issues.

Prepare shift reports, tracking feedback, sales, and incidents.

Addressing other needs and concerns directly to management.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Supervisory or managerial experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

Proven ability to lead and manage teams.

Education:

College-level education; degrees in Hospitality or Business Management are a plus.

Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and stay calm under pressure.

Strong customer service focus and conflict resolution skills.

Personal Attributes:

Energetic, motivated, and adaptable.

Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
