As our club continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic, personable, and experienced Floor Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining the high standards our members and guests expect.

Position Summary

This position requires an active presence on the floor, supervising bartenders, servers, and support staff while coordinating with kitchen teams and upper management.

The Floor Manager must be comfortable transitioning between multiple dining outlets, assisting with service when necessary, resolving member concerns, and ensuring that all employees uphold company policies, service standards, and operational procedures.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate food and beverage service.
  • Monitor food presentation, beverage quality, cleanliness, and overall service standards.
  • Review daily reservations, anticipated guest counts, special requests, and upcoming events.
  • Ensure dining spaces are properly prepared for regular service, larger parties, and special events.

Team Supervision & Accountability

  • Assign, monitor, and verify completion of daily side work and closing responsibilities.
  • Establish weekly cleaning assignments and follow up to ensure tasks are completed to company standards.
  • Enforce employee uniform, grooming, and professional appearance policies.
  • Monitor employee performance, conduct, and adherence to club policies.
  • Ensure employees take required meal and rest breaks in accordance with company policy and applicable California labor laws.
  • Make appropriate staffing adjustments based on business volume and operational needs.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to team members to encourage professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Identify performance or conduct concerns and report them to upper management for appropriate follow-up.
  • Promote effective communication and cooperation between dining outlets and departments.

Member Experience & Service Excellence

  • Deliver a welcoming, polished, and memorable dining experience for members and their guests.
  • Build positive relationships with members and regular guests through personalized, attentive service.
  • Address member concerns and service issues promptly, professionally, and with discretion.
  • Exercise sound judgment when resolving service challenges and escalate matters when appropriate.
  • Ensure staff members are knowledgeable about menus, ingredients, beverage offerings, and daily specials.
  • Monitor service pacing, table maintenance, and guest satisfaction throughout each shift.
  • Assist with greeting, seating, order taking, food running, and table service when necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of hospitality that reflects the club's exclusive atmosphere and commitment to first-class service.

Financial Controls & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Review and verify employee checkout reports at the conclusion of shifts.
  • Verify reported tips and oversee accurate tip distribution in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Process and review authorized discounts, complimentary items, and voids throughout the shift.
  • Run and reconcile nightly point-of-sale reports and closing documentation.
  • Verify cash receipts, payment transactions, and cash-handling procedures.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies to upper management.
  • Prepare and submit nightly operational recaps, including service highlights, member feedback, staffing concerns, incidents, and items requiring management attention.
  • Ensure all required closing reports and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Maintain accountability for proper closing procedures and securing designated areas of the building.

Bar & Beverage Operations

  • Support bartenders during high-volume service periods and assist with beverage preparation when necessary.
  • Maintain working knowledge of classic cocktails, specialty beverages, spirits, wine, and beer offerings.
  • Ensure proper alcohol service practices, including age verification and responsible beverage service.
  • Monitor bar cleanliness, organization, glassware, equipment, and overall presentation.
  • Oversee proper handling of guest tabs, payment processing, and cash reconciliation.
  • Ensure beverage quality, consistency, and presentation meet club standards.
  • Assist with beverage recommendations and personalized service for members and guests.

  • Coordinate with the events team, kitchen, and service staff to ensure successful execution of private events and club functions.
  • Review event details, reservations, timelines, and service requirements before each event.
  • Assist with dining room layouts, table arrangements, and event preparation.
  • Direct service staff during events to ensure smooth execution and timely service.
