What they need

On behalf of a Riyadh-based hospitality investment group, we are recruiting Floor Managers to take charge of service at a premium, chef-led French restaurant in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Each Floor Manager is the manager in charge during service, accountable for the standard of hospitality on the floor, the flow of the dining room and the performance of the team on shift.

The restaurant is the Riyadh home of an internationally recognised all-day French dining brand, with established restaurants in Dubai and London. Several Floor Manager positions are open, offering the chance to help set the service standard for the brand in one of the most dynamic dining markets in the region, with a tax-free package and visa sponsorship.

Reporting to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the Floor Manager leads Supervisors, Captains, Waiters, Hosts, Runners and Bussers on shift. We are looking for a natural host with warmth, presence and polish, who stays calm and decisive in a busy room, leads by example and brings the team with them.

Responsibilities

  • Run the floor during service, managing the flow of the dining room, table turns and pace in coordination with the kitchen pass.

  • Deliver and enforce the restaurant's service standards and sequence of service at every table.

  • Greet and engage guests, with particular attention to VIPs, regulars and large parties, and handle special requests and occasions.

  • Resolve guest complaints on the spot, escalate to the General Manager where required and log feedback for follow-up.

  • Oversee reservations, seating plans and waitlist management with the host team.

  • Lead pre-shift briefings covering menu changes, specials, allergens, reservations and VIP notes.

  • Allocate sections and roles, and adjust staffing during service to match covers.

  • Carry out opening and closing checks, cash-up, float and end-of-day reporting.

  • Ensure the dining room, bar, terrace and restrooms are presented to standard before and throughout service.

  • Monitor table maintenance, cleanliness and ambience, including lighting, music and temperature.

  • Supervise, coach and motivate the front-of-house team on shift, and set the example on the floor.

  • Deliver on-the-job training on menu knowledge, service steps, upselling and guest interaction.

  • Manage attendance, punctuality, uniform and grooming standards.

  • Support the General Manager with rotas, performance reviews and onboarding of new staff.

  • Foster a respectful, inclusive culture across a multinational team.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene and Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) requirements on the floor.

  • Follow cash handling, discount and void procedures, and investigate discrepancies.

  • Maintain allergen awareness and communicate dietary requirements correctly to the kitchen.

  • Report maintenance issues and ensure equipment and furniture are safe and presentable.

  • Drive average spend through confident menu and beverage recommendations and upselling.

  • Support promotions, seasonal menus and private dining or events as directed.

  • Control breakages, wastage and operating supplies on shift.

  • Minimum 5 years in front-of-house roles in premium or fine-dining restaurants, with at least 2 years as Floor Manager, Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor.

  • Experience running service in a high-volume venue with VIP and corporate clientele.

  • GCC experience preferred; Saudi Arabia experience an advantage.

  • Pre-opening experience an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of sequence of service, table management and reservations systems.

  • Confident with POS and reservations platforms, and competent with cash-up and shift reporting.

  • Fluent English and French, written and spoken; Arabic an advantage.

  • Food hygiene certification (for example HACCP Level 2) preferred.

  • Good knowledge of food, beverage and allergens, and able to train others.

  • Calm and decisive under pressure, with high personal standards, attention to detail and respect for Saudi norms and expectations.

  • Must hold the right to work in Saudi Arabia, or be eligible to obtain it with the client's support.

  • Salary: SAR 12,500 per month total package, tax-free.

  • Bonus scheme.

  • Duty meal on shift.

  • Uniform provided.

  • Housing and transport allowances included, medical insurance, service charge eligibility, visa sponsorship and an annual flight.

  • Further benefits to be confirmed during the recruitment process.

This is a full-time, permanent position working six days per week on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. The Floor Manager reports to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, with a target start date of 1 January 2027. The role is based in Riyadh. Candidates must hold the right to work in Saudi Arabia, or be eligible to obtain it; the client will sponsor the work visa for the successful applicants.
