What they need
Floor Supervisor – Four Hundred, North Sydney
Casual | Around 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday | From $35+ per hour plus super
About Us
Four Hundred is a Mexican-inspired rooftop bar and kitchen in the heart of North Sydney, sitting above Greenwood Plaza. With a buzzing atmosphere, great food and a serious love of tequila, we’re one of the North Shore’s favourite spots for after-work drinks, long lunches and weekend sessions.
We’re part of Tilley & Wills Hospitality Group, an independent operator with premium venues across NSW and SA, including Verandah Bar, Cabana Bar, Aanuka Beach House and the Greenwood Hotel. We’re known for great venues, high standards and a strong focus on developing our people.
About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on Floor Supervisor to join our front of house leadership team. Working closely with the Venue Manager, you’ll lead service on the floor, support and motivate the team, and make sure every guest has a great experience, from a quick drink to a large group booking.
This is a casual role offering around 30 hours per week. Four Hundred trades Tuesday to Saturday, and you’ll need to be available across all five trading days, including day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise floor service, keeping service smooth, efficient and guest-focused
- Run pre-shift briefings and allocate sections and duties to the team
- Train, coach and support front of house staff to maintain service standards
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to keep service running seamlessly
- Oversee functions, events and large group bookings on the day
- Open and close the venue, including cash handling, end-of-day reconciliations and floor checks
- Make sure RSA, WHS and venue compliance standards are followed at all times
- Step up to support the Venue Manager when needed
About You
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or senior front of house role in a busy bar, restaurant or venue
- A current NSW RSA (essential); an RCG is highly regarded
- Confident leading a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with POS and booking systems (experience with SevenRooms is a bonus)
- Passion for food, drinks and hospitality, with an interest in agave spirits a plus
- Availability Tuesday to Saturday
What We Offer
- From $35+ per hour plus super, depending on experience
- Around 30 hours per week with consistent rostering
- Staff meals on shift
- Group-wide staff discounts across Tilley & Wills venues
- Real career pathways across a growing hospitality group
- Ongoing training and development
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
- A supportive, fun and inclusive team culture
