Floor Team Member

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Floor Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the venue. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and food safety within a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Welcome and serve guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
• Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
• Set up tables, organise seating arrangements, and clear tables promptly
• Support baristas with beverage preparation when necessary
• Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
• Assist in event catering setups and breakdowns as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are important qualities
• Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
• Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
• A good understanding of customer service principles and team collaboration skills
