Floor Technician

The Floor Technician will be responsible for general floor maintenance, including scrubbing, waxing, deep carpet cleaning, and ensuring compliance with the client’s specific requirements at each location.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00p.m to 10:00p.m.

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and restore floors in accordance with company and client standards
• Perform floor care procedures: shampooing, extraction, stripping, waxing, buffing, and mopping
• Safely operate and maintain floor care equipment and chemical cleaners
• Report repair needs or safety hazards to management promptly
• Move furniture and equipment as necessary to access floor areas
• Collect and dispose of trash from work areas; keep common spaces tidy
• Maintain floor care tools and equipment in good working condition
• Assist with seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal, outdoor walkway maintenance) as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and clients to ensure smooth operations
• Follow all company safety, compliance, and quality standards

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in professional floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing, mopping, scrubbing)
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Constantly required to stand and walk.
• Continuous use of hands and fingers to operate equipment.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and crawling.
• Regularly required to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent exposure to humidity, chemicals, and loud noise.
• Operation of specialized equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, strippers, waxers, and carpet cleaners.
