Floor Technician – 3rd Shift

Location: Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF)
Pay Rate: $18.03 per hour
Schedule: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Flagship Facility Services is looking for a reliable and experienced Floor Technician to join our overnight team at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining floors and other assigned areas to a high standard of cleanliness. This position is ideal for someone with commercial floor care experience who takes pride in quality work and can work independently in a fast-paced airport environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine and periodic floor care throughout assigned areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and polish hard-surface floors.
• Operate commercial floor-care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
• Perform carpet cleaning and spot treatment as assigned.
• Remove stains and buildup from floors and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning products.
• Maintain clean and safe floors in assigned areas.
• Follow proper procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Inspect completed work and address areas requiring additional cleaning.
• Maintain and properly store floor-care equipment and supplies.
• Keep the janitor/floor-care storage area clean and organized.
• Report equipment issues, supply needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all company, client, airport, and safety procedures.
• Complete required safety training and attend safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial floor-care experience preferred.
• Experience operating floor buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic commercial cleaning procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be available to work overnight and weekends as scheduled.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Push and pull floor-care equipment.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely.
• Climb stairs and occasionally use ladders.
• Lift and move up to approximately 30 pounds of equipment, cleaning supplies, and trash.
• Perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced airport environment.
• Work may take place in public areas, offices, terminals, and other airport facilities.
• Regular exposure to cleaning products, dust, odors, fumes, and moderate noise.
• Safety equipment may be required for certain tasks.
• Flagship provides required safety training.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to successfully complete required airport security screening and background requirements.
• Must follow all airport security and safety procedures.
