Floor Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in commercial settings. This role requires a strong commitment to quality and safety, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to enhance the appearance of hard surface floors.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Respond promptly to spills or accidents, ensuring a safe environment for all building occupants.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to complete larger cleaning projects as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards in all cleaning practices.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial work or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental services and best practices in floor care.
• Proficiency in carpet cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
