Duties

• Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to identify their flooring needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, layout design consultations, and lighting or remodeling advice to help clients visualize their projects.
• Utilize CAD or SketchUp software to create accurate floor plans and design layouts that meet client specifications.
• Upsell additional products such as lighting fixtures, remodeling accessories, or maintenance services to maximize sales opportunities.
• Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, effective communication, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage POS systems for cash handling, order processing, and inventory tracking while maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies, stocking, and inventory management to ensure a well-organized showroom.

Requirements

• Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or construction-related sales with a focus on high-end products.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and CRM systems for client management and layout design.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of renovation processes, remodeling projects, construction materials, and maintenance practices.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly explain technical details and design options.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple clients simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up.
• Basic math skills for measurements, pricing calculations, and retail math accuracy.
• Experience in lighting design or fixture sales is advantageous but not required.
