Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and material handling machinery in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
• Interpret production documents accurately to ensure correct assembly and processing of floral products
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control manufacturing processes efficiently
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operation
• Handle materials safely using appropriate warehouse operations techniques, including heavy lifting and forklift operation when necessary
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and FDA regulations to maintain product safety and quality standards
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and workspace to uphold safety standards in production environments
• Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of packaging equipment to ensure consistent product output
• Support manufacturing activities by adhering to safety standards in production, including proper use of materials handling equipment

Experience

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, especially within a packaging or floral processing environment, is highly preferred
• Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations is advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment are essential for maintaining continuous production flow
• Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and quantities
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory with proper certification or training available on-site
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including safe lifting techniques and emergency procedures
