Responsibilities

• Create custom floral arrangements, bouquets, and decorative displays tailored to customer preferences and seasonal themes
• Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related accessories by providing expert advice on floral design and plant care
• Maintain the floral display area through proper merchandising, stocking, and organization to ensure an attractive shopping environment
• Handle sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and retail math calculations
• Manage inventory by identifying plants and flowers through plant identification skills and ensuring stock levels meet customer demand
• Provide excellent customer service via in-person interactions and phone communication, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
• Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening to enhance the overall aesthetic of the store’s exterior spaces

Qualifications

• Proven experience in floral design or related horticultural fields with a strong portfolio of previous work preferred
• Knowledge of floral design techniques, plant identification, and horticulture principles
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail sales processes, and merchandising strategies
• Strong organizational skills for managing inventory, stock rotation, and display setup
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Outdoor work experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
