FLT Driver Nights

Join our dynamic team as a Night Shift Forklift (FLT) Driver and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you'll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize goods within our Manchester depot. Your mechanical aptitude and warehouse experience will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes, contributing directly to our commitment to timely deliveries and exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work overnight hours in a safety-focused environment where your skills make a tangible impact every night.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately and efficiently
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organization in designated areas
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments against documentation and preparing items for dispatch
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment before use, adhering to all safety protocols
• Support warehouse operations through manual labor involving heavy lifting and materials handling as needed

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment, with valid certification preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
• Mechanical knowledge or basic troubleshooting skills for equipment repair and maintenance
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation verification
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Good basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
• Prior warehouse experience demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills

Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
