Flutter Architect - START ASAP

About the role

Own the end-to-end technical architecture, security posture, and hands-on development Flutter mobile banking app and its BFF layer. This role combines individual-contributor development with technical leadership: the Tech Lead designs the mobile architecture, writes and reviews code, sets and enforces security guidelines, and owns third-party SDK integrations end to end, while guiding the wider mobile engineering team and acting as the escalation point for technical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the Flutter mobile banking architecture: app structure, state management, modularization, and BFF interaction patterns.
• Write production code for the mobile banking app and BFF alongside the team, taking ownership of complex or high-risk features and modules.
• Lead technical design reviews for new enhancements and change requests, and provide final technical sign-off.
• Set and enforce coding standards, architectural guardrails, and performance benchmarks across the mobile codebase.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce quality, performance, and security standards across the team.
• Mentor and guide mobile engineers, raising the technical bar of the team over time.
• Act as escalation point for production and release-blocking technical issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
• Own and drive mobile app security guidelines: OWASP MASVS alignment, secure storage, certificate pinning, code obfuscation, and app shielding.
• Own the technical integration and health of third-party SDKs and platforms, including version upgrades, deprecations, and vendor escalations.
• Partner with business and delivery teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and app configuration.

About you

• 8+ years in mobile engineering, with 3+ years leading Flutter-based delivery in a technical lead capacity, including hands-on development.
• Deep hands-on Flutter/Dart expertise; strong working knowledge of native iOS and Android development (Swift/Kotlin), platform SDKs, and the app store release process for both platforms.
• Strong grasp of mobile development industry standards: clean architecture, CI/CD for mobile, automated testing (unit, widget, integration), accessibility, and platform design guidelines.
• Solid understanding of Flutter's platform channels and how they bridge to native iOS/Android code, for building and debugging custom native integrations.
• Experience designing and working with BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) patterns and API design.
• Demonstrated ownership of mobile app security: obfuscation/shielding tools, secure storage, certificate pinning, and OWASP MASVS.
• Experience in regulated digital banking or fintech; familiarity with BSP requirements is a strong advantage.
• Track record of managing multiple third-party SDK integrations and vendor relationships end to end.
• Strong communication skills; able to translate technical trade-offs for both engineers and business stakeholders.
