FOH Host/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and organized host to be the welcoming face of Zaharakos! As a vital part of our hospitality team, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests with a warm smile and friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk in
• Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Shift4 POS
• Answer phone inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about reservations and wait times
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including waiting lists and reservation logs
• Assist with guest inquiries, and seating adjustments to enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and escalating issues to management when necessary

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is heavily preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest relations best practices
• Prior experience working with diverse teams in food service or hospitality settings is highly valued

Pay: $13.00 per hour
