FOH Receptionist

We’re looking for friendly, professional and organised Front of House Receptionists to join the team at Odyssey Health Club & Spa.

As the first point of contact for members, spa guests and visitors, you’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming atmosphere and making every visit a positive experience. This is a varied, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in excellent service and stays calm during busy periods.

Main duties

• Welcome members, guests and visitors, providing a warm, professional and attentive service.
• Manage member check-ins and guest registration, following club access procedures.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and deal with enquiries accurately and efficiently.
• Manage bookings and cancellations for club services, appointments, guest visits and activities.
• Help new members get started, including directing them to inductions and explaining how to access club services.
• Assist members with the club app, booking systems, access keys and general queries.
• Provide clear information about memberships, facilities, timetables, events and current promotions.
• Process payments and retail purchases accurately, following payment and reconciliation procedures.
• Keep member records and booking information accurate, handling personal information confidentially.
• Resolve routine queries and concerns professionally, referring issues to the appropriate colleague or duty manager when needed.
• Communicate effectively with the fitness, spa, membership, café and management teams.
• Keep reception and the surrounding welcome area clean, tidy and well presented.
• Complete shift handovers, reception checklists and opening or closing duties as required.
• Follow club procedures for health and safety, security and incident reporting.

• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence using computers and learning booking and membership systems.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and remain composed in a busy reception environment.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive approach to teamwork.
• A professional appearance and pride in delivering high standards of service.

Previous experience in reception, hospitality, leisure, spa or customer service would be an advantage. An interest in health, fitness and wellbeing is also welcome.

Working hours

The role involves shifts across the club’s opening hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Pay: £13.91 per hour
