FOH Shift Manager

We are looking for a part-time FOH Shift Manager to Join Our Team! This position requires about 20-25 hours per week, possibly more if needed. Looking for someone with awesome customer service skills and that works well with others.

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Shift Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Duties

• Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and training new team members to ensure consistent service quality
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, customer service delivery, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimize efficiency and enhance the dining experience
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales
• Maintain inventory control for front-of-house supplies, including bar stock, linens, and utensils; coordinate with kitchen management for seamless food service
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety protocols; monitor food handling practices and cleanliness standards
• Support staff training & development initiatives; conduct interviews for hiring new team members and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and managing operational expenses to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, food safety regulations, and food industry best practices
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; experience with cash handling and inventory control
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of training & development; ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
• Prior experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus; knowledge of catering services is advantageous
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during shift management while maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is highly desirable
