FOH Supervisor

The Role

As Front of House Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the front of house operation, ensuring the team is organised, service runs smoothly and every customer receives a welcoming, high-quality experience.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing service, preparing drinks, managing stock, maintaining operational standards and supporting the FOH team, while working closely with the wider MICRO team. You’ll play an important role in establishing the service standards, systems and routines during the opening phase and maintaining them as the business grows.

About MICRO

MICRO is a new wellness-led space opening in Chelsea, bringing together movement, wellbeing and a modern food and drink offer under one roof.

Our concept is all about fresh, functional and highly accessible food for both members and walk-in customers. The menu will include breakfast, lunch, snacks and wellness-focused food and drinks, with an emphasis on quality ingredients, consistency and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the front of house operation
• Lead and support the FOH team, assisting with training, development and maintaining service standards
• Deliver excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and positive experience for all guests
• Prepare and serve coffees, smoothies, functional drinks and other beverages to a consistently high standard
• Manage the daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the FOH area is organised and ready for service
• Oversee tills, payments, order accuracy and customer collection points
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient food and drink service
• Manage FOH stock levels, ordering, deliveries and stock rotation
• Monitor waste, portion control and stock usage to support profitability
• Maintain excellent cleanliness, presentation and operational standards across all FOH areas
• Ensure all food safety, allergen, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed, including daily due diligence and record keeping
• Assist with team rotas, shift organisation and daily staff allocation
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any service issues professionally
• Help establish a positive, organised and accountable team culture

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years’ experience in a FOH Supervisor, Shift Leader, Assistant Manager or similar position in a busy café, coffee shop, QSR or premium food-to-go environment
• Strong barista skills and experience preparing a range of hot and cold beverages
• Experience supervising and training FOH teams
• Good understanding of food safety, allergens and health & safety procedures
• Confident managing tills, stock, ordering and daily operational tasks
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on consistency
• Calm, organised and proactive, with a hands-on approach
• An interest in wellness, nutrition and functional food is a plus but not required
