Folding Operator (7:00am-3:30pm)

Commensurate with experience. After completion of 90-day probationary period, PTO will be accrued and for full-time employees, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance will be available for election.

Job Summary

Folding Operator sets up and operates a machine to automatically fold, slit, and score printed sheets into signatures for binding. Must be able to multitask and use great time-management skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Examines work order to determine setup specifications or inserts sample sheet in machine and sets guides to edge of sheet
• Adjusts air blasts on feeder to regulate amount of air separating sheets of paper to provide continuous flow of paper through machine
• Adjusts conveyor blades or knurled rollers to feed sheet into folding rollers
• Turns screws to regulate tension of creasing blades and folding rollers according to thickness of paper and size and number of folds specified, using hand tools
• Sets slitting knives to slit sheets as specified
• Stacks sheets to be folded on conveyor belt of automatic feed
• Presses button to activate machine and observes machine operation
• Adjusts machine during production run as required
• May operate two or more machines
• May jog, stack, band, and box folded sheets
• Participate in safety
• All other duties as assigned

• Must be willing to learn and understand all Got Print processes and procedures and have the ability to effectively explain to customers
• Must be familiar with the warehouse equipment and machinery

Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• At least 2-3 years prior warehouse/bindery experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
