At The Dressing Room, we believe food deserves to be dressed up. We are a premium café and salad bar serving fresh, wholesome and thoughtfully crafted food, from vibrant salads and Buddha bowls to gourmet sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and specialty coffee.

We are looking for a friendly, confident and service-oriented Food & Beverage Captain who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys interacting with guests and has a natural flair for recommending food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Table Service

* Welcome guests warmly and ensure a smooth, personalised dining experience.

* Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages with attention to detail.

* Engage with guests, understand their preferences and provide recommendations based on their tastes.

* Explain menu items, ingredients, preparation methods and customisation options confidently.

* Attend to guest requests promptly and handle feedback professionally.

* Maintain excellent standards of table presentation, cleanliness and service etiquette.

Menu Knowledge & Recommendations

* Develop a thorough understanding of our salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, specialty coffee and other menu offerings.

* Confidently explain ingredients, flavour profiles and dietary options to guests.

* Recommend complementary dishes, beverages, add-ons and desserts to enhance the guest experience.

* Stay updated on seasonal menus, specials and new product launches.

Sales & Guest Engagement

* Drive sales through thoughtful upselling and cross-selling without making guests feel pressured.

* Help improve average order value through relevant food and beverage recommendations.

* Build positive guest relationships that encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty.

* Communicate ongoing promotions, special menus and café experiences to guests.

Service Standards & Operations

* Ensure accurate order taking, timely service and coordination with the kitchen and beverage counter.

* Follow established service protocols, hygiene standards and grooming guidelines.

* Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming dining area throughout the shift.

* Handle billing and payment processes accurately, where required.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

What We’re Looking For

* 2–5 years of experience in a premium café, restaurant or hospitality establishment.

* Excellent spoken English and confident guest-facing communication skills.

* A warm, polished and approachable personality.

* Strong food and beverage knowledge, or a genuine willingness to learn.

* A natural ability to recommend menu items and drive sales through guest engagement.

* Attention to detail, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility.

* A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

* Interest in healthy dining, specialty coffee and contemporary café culture is an advantage.
