Food and Beverage Attendant

Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, assist with seating arrangements, and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of guest requests to the kitchen and bar staff
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue
• Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation and beverage garnishing to support kitchen staff during busy periods
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to increase sales while providing personalized recommendations
• Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive approach to guest interactions
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous
