Food & Beverage Server

About the Position

JOEY Polo Park is seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Food & Beverage Server to provide an excellent dining experience for guests. The Food & Beverage Server will take food and beverage orders, deliver meals and drinks, provide knowledgeable menu assistance, process payments, maintain clean service areas, and work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide professional, attentive service.
• Present menus and explain food and beverage options, specials, and recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the restaurant POS system.
• Confirm special requests, allergies, and dietary requirements with guests.
• Communicate orders and special instructions clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Monitor tables throughout the dining experience and respond to guest needs.
• Check orders for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before serving.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently between guests.
• Answer questions about menu ingredients and preparation methods.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
• Process cash, debit, and credit payments accurately.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked service stations.
• Restock napkins, cutlery, condiments, menus, and other service supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Work closely with hosts, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers during busy periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant cleaning duties.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional, and energetic atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving, hospitality, or customer-service experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of customer-service and hospitality practices.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling payments.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to remain positive and composed during busy service periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $16.00-$26.74 per hour
