Food Counter Associate

Job Summary
Wren & Wolf is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Food Counter Associate to support daily counter service and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will assist guests with orders, prepare and package food items, process transactions, maintain a clean service area, and work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to provide efficient and welcoming service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional counter service.
• Assist customers with menu questions, orders, and special requests.
• Enter customer orders accurately using the restaurant's POS system.
• Process cash, card, and other approved payments accurately.
• Prepare, assemble, and package food and beverage orders according to restaurant standards.
• Verify orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding orders, modifications, and special requests.
• Prepare orders for dine-in, pickup, and delivery service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary counter and service areas.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, packaging, beverages, and other service supplies.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer questions and concerns.
• Assist with clearing tables and maintaining guest-facing areas when needed.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace procedures.
• Support opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties.
• Assist other restaurant team members during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and payment processing preferred.
• Strong attention to order accuracy, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
