Duties

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to transport food and goods to customers’ locations.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS technology to maximize productivity and punctuality.
• Load and unload items with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies while driving and delivering.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports; communicate any delays or issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including material handling equipment operation like pallet jacks or moving carts for loading/unloading shipments.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer interaction.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or truck driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with box trucks or commercial trucks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace.
• Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently using mobile devices or route planning tools.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
