Are you looking for meaningful work where every shift helps people in your local community? Join Foodbank SA & NT at our Ceduna Food Hub and help create a welcoming, dignified shopping experience for people accessing food relief.

  • Be part of Australia’s largest food relief organisation
  • Join a friendly, values-led team supporting the Ceduna community
  • Help provide practical support, dignity and hope to people doing it tough
  • Enjoy permanent part-time hours within a Monday to Friday roster

About the Role

Foodbank SA & NT is seeking a permanent part-time Food Hub Support to join our Ceduna Food Hub. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will work alongside staff and volunteers to keep the Food Hub running smoothly and ensure every client is treated with warmth, respect and care.

The role is 20–24 hours per week, with rostered hours between Monday and Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Rostered days will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Our Food Hubs are designed to feel like a general store, giving clients choice, dignity and access to essential food and groceries. As Food Hub Support, you will assist the Food Hub Coordinator with daily operations, customer service, volunteer support and stock presentation.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality customer service with sensitivity to social, cultural and individual needs
  • Support clients to access food relief in a respectful and welcoming environment
  • Assist with the induction, training and day-to-day support of volunteers
  • Support stock control, ordering, receiving and inventory management
  • Help keep the Food Hub organised, clean, well-presented and accessible
  • Step in when required to coordinate the volunteer team and complete daily administration in the Coordinator’s absence.

What You'll Bring

You will be someone who enjoys practical, community-focused work and takes pride in creating a positive experience for others. You will be organised, approachable and able to work cooperatively with a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • A genuine commitment to community service and supporting people with dignity
  • Confidence working in a hands-on environment
  • The ability to work with, encourage and support volunteers
  • Customer service experience, which is essential for this role
  • Retail, inventory management or team leadership experience, which will be highly regarded.

A National Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate are essential. If you don't hold these, we can help you obtain them.
