Food Runner

Job Summary

City Restaurant is looking for a reliable and energetic Food Runner to support the kitchen and front-of-house teams. The successful candidate will deliver food promptly and accurately, maintain clean and organised service areas, and help provide a smooth and welcoming dining experience for guests.

Job Description

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
• Check dishes for presentation and order accuracy before serving.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and front-of-house staff.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables between services.
• Maintain clean, tidy, and organised dining and service areas.
• Replenish cutlery, napkins, water, and other service supplies.
• Respond politely to guest requests and direct queries to the appropriate team member.
• Support restaurant setup, service, and closing duties.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and restaurant procedures.
• Work efficiently with the team during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and professional approach to customer service.
• Willingness to learn and support the wider restaurant team.

Pay: £12.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
