Food Runner

Troy Social is seeking an organized and energetic Food Runner to help ensure food reaches guests quickly, accurately, and at the highest standard of presentation. The Food Runner serves as an important connection between the kitchen and dining room and must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table promptly.
• Verify that dishes match the order before leaving the kitchen.
• Ensure proper presentation of each dish.
• Communicate with servers regarding food orders and special requests.
• Confirm table numbers and seat positions when delivering food.
• Assist servers with large or complicated orders.
• Communicate any missing, incorrect, or delayed items immediately.
• Maintain awareness of food allergies and special dietary requests.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized service areas.
• Restock plates, utensils, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Maintain proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Support servers, bussers, bartenders, and kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Help maintain a smooth flow between the kitchen and dining room.
• Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests when delivering food.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to move quickly and safely in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to carry trays and multiple plates safely.
• Availability for nights and weekends.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
