Food Runner

Daughter’s Neighborhood Italian is a new Italian American restaurant opening this fall in the historic Upperline building in Uptown New Orleans. From Mia and Justin Devillier, the owners of La Petite Grocery, Daughter’s is our take on the red-sauce classics: the staples you love, made with care, in a room where everyone is welcomed like family.

THE ROLE

Back waiters keep service flowing. You will support servers and the bar so guests feel cared for at every moment of the meal, and you will learn the floor from the inside. It is a strong first step toward a server role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Run food and drinks from the kitchen and bar to the table, hot food hot and cold food cold

– Pour water, offer bread, and keep tables reset, clear, and crumbed

– Clear and reset tables quickly and quietly between courses and turns

– Keep stations, glassware, silver, and linens stocked and polished

– Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, and the kitchen

– Complete opening, running, and closing side work to standard

WHAT YOU BRING

– Restaurant experience is helpful but not required; a hospitable attitude and a strong work ethic are

– Attention to detail and the ability to move with purpose in a busy dining room

– Team-first mindset and a desire to learn and grow

– Ability to stand and move for long shifts and lift up to [30] lbs

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
