Job Summary

Sogno Toscano Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is seeking a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Food Runner to support restaurant service and help ensure that meals reach guests promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members, and maintain high standards of food presentation.

The Food Runner will coordinate with servers and kitchen staff, check orders before delivery, and help keep dining and service areas organized. This role is a good opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in a professional restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly.
• Verify order details and food presentation before serving.
• Coordinate with chefs, cooks, and servers to keep service running smoothly.
• Communicate special requests and order updates to the appropriate team members.
• Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized food pickup and service areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Help restock plates, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and direct requests to the appropriate team member.
• Support opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous food runner, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.
• Ability to carry food trays and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is an advantage.
