Food Runner

Job Summary

Fresco Italian Restaurant is seeking a friendly, energetic, and dependable Food Runner to support restaurant service and help ensure food reaches guests promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will work closely with servers and kitchen staff, maintain organized service areas, and contribute to a smooth dining experience.

This role is suited to someone who works well under pressure, pays attention to order details, and enjoys being part of a collaborative restaurant team. Previous food service experience is helpful, but applicants who are eager to learn may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
• Confirm order details and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to keep food service moving efficiently.
• Check food presentation and ensure plates are handled safely.
• Assist servers with organizing and prioritizing orders during busy periods.
• Respond politely to guest requests and notify the appropriate server when additional assistance is needed.
• Keep service stations, counters, and food pickup areas clean and organized.
• Restock plates, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies as needed.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with clearing tables and resetting dining areas when assigned.
• Communicate order delays or discrepancies to the kitchen or service supervisor.
• Support opening, closing, and other restaurant duties as directed.

• Availability for assigned shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
