Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties

• Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices.
• Ensure all dishes are presented correctly and meet quality standards before delivery to guests.
• Assist with cleaning and bussing tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Support food service staff by delivering orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Manage food running duties using POS systems such as Clover
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on food preparation needs and special requests, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Assist with light cleaning duties in the dining area, including clearing plates and resetting tables for new guests.
• Support guest services by responding promptly to customer inquiries or requests in person.

Experience

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling, and basic culinary practices is advantageous.
• Experience with POS systems such as Clover
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transporting large trays or boxes of supplies.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests efficiently.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and guest services, will set you up for success.
