Food Runner

Job Overview

Manna Shabu is hiring dependable and hardworking Food Runners to support our servers and help provide fast, accurate service to our guests. Food Runners are responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the correct tables, checking order accuracy, and helping maintain a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to the correct tables quickly and accurately
• Confirm that each order is complete before leaving the kitchen
• Identify menu items and communicate them clearly to guests
• Assist servers with guest requests when needed
• Refill water, deliver condiments, and provide additional utensils
• Clear used plates and maintain clean tables
• Help reset tables for incoming guests
• Communicate clearly with servers, kitchen staff, and management
• Keep food pickup and service areas clean and organized
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties
• Support team members during busy shifts

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, dependable, and hardworking
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Able to carry multiple plates or trays safely
• Able to lift up to 25–40 pounds
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Food-handler certification required or must be obtained after hiring
