Food Runner

Job Summary

Stone Park Cafe is seeking a dependable and energetic Food Runner to support its dining room team and help deliver an excellent guest experience. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. This role involves coordinating with servers and kitchen staff, delivering dishes promptly, and ensuring that food is presented accurately and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
• Confirm that dishes match order tickets and presentation standards before serving.
• Coordinate with chefs, servers, and other team members to maintain smooth service.
• Communicate special requests and dietary requirements to the appropriate staff.
• Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing dishes, and resetting tables as needed.
• Keep food pickup areas, service stations, and dining spaces clean and organized.
• Monitor orders to help prevent delays and maintain efficient table service.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and direct concerns to the appropriate server.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous food running, serving, or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to remain organized and attentive during busy service periods.
• Professional attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods while carrying food trays safely.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
