Job Summary

Mel's Drive-In Hollywood is seeking an energetic, dependable, and team-oriented Food Runner to help deliver meals promptly and accurately in a busy restaurant environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, pays attention to order details, and communicates effectively with servers and kitchen staff. This position plays an important role in maintaining service quality and ensuring guests receive their food in a timely and welcoming manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly.
• Verify dishes against order tickets before delivering them to guests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to keep orders moving efficiently.
• Confirm special requests and communicate order concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests when needed.
• Keep food pickup areas, service stations, and assigned workspaces clean and organized.
• Help reset tables and prepare dining areas for incoming guests.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Respond professionally to guest questions and direct complex concerns to servers or managers.
• Support opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous food running, serving, or restaurant experience is preferred but may not be required.

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
