Food Runner

Job Summary

The Linden House is seeking a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Food Runner to support restaurant service and help ensure guests receive their meals promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and restaurant management to maintain an organized workflow during busy dining periods.

The Food Runner will deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to the correct tables, verify order accuracy, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly.
• Confirm dishes match order tickets and follow presentation standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to keep service running smoothly.
• Communicate special requests and order concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Assist servers with delivering additional items when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized food pickup and service areas.
• Clear dishes and help reset tables when required.
• Restock plates, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Respond courteously to basic guest requests and direct questions to the appropriate server.
• Help prepare dining areas before service and clean up after busy periods.
• Follow restaurant policies and complete additional duties assigned by supervisors.
