Part-Time Food Science Lab Technician
Location: Hurricane, UT
Hours: 20-30 hours/week | Flexible scheduling within Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $15–$23/hour, based on experience and qualifications

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable lab technician for hands-on work in a food science lab setting. This role is ideal for someone with a background in science, food prep, or lab work who enjoys working on projects and finding solutions.

Azure Food Sciences is a small product development and R&D company focusing on the supplement and food industries. We work with both brands and manufacturers to get products from ideation to production.

Scope of Work:

• Weigh and mix sample ingredients (e.g., drink mixes, capsules, liquids, gummies)
• Evaluate formulations for quality and consistency (including tasting, when appropriate)
• Organize and maintain sample inventory and ingredient storage
• Follow provided recipes and formulation instructions precisely
• Assist with basic lab organization and tracking of supplies
• Keep precise notes on all work (on and off computer)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (with at least one chemistry course completed) required. Bachelor's degree in a science discipline preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions with consistency and care
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Strong math skills (imperial/metric units, ratios, percentages, basic math)
• Comfortable with basic food preparation
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Schedule & Work Expectations:
Work must be completed on-site . Set your own hours upfront within Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM to complete 20-30 hrs/week.
