Food Server Assistant (Functions and Restaurant)

We are seeking a dedicated Food Server Assistant to support our functions and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by assisting with food service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operation of the dining environment. Duties

• Assist serving staff in delivering food and beverages efficiently to guests during functions and in the restaurant.
• Ensure tables are set up correctly before service, including organising cutlery, glassware, and condiments.
• Support with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces regularly.
• Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments to ensure seamless service throughout shifts.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, providing courteous and attentive guest services.
• Help with organising function spaces, ensuring all equipment and materials are prepared for events.
• Follow health and safety regulations diligently, especially regarding food safety protocols.

Skills

• Previous experience in hospitality or catering environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
• Experience in serving or supporting restaurant operations, including food preparation or bartending skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Basic understanding of culinary practices or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
