Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, with a focus on presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or drink recommendations
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely and maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing multiple tables during busy hours

Qualifications

• Proven food service experience in restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightlife venues such as nightclubs or bars
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to build guest rapport
• Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments while multitasking between serving tables and processing transactions
• Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing sales accurately
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques
• Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
• Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus for creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive
