Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Process cash transactions accurately while managing sales through POS systems and handling cash or credit card payments seamlessly
• Upsell menu items including wine, specialty drinks, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling and preparation as needed
• Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items like wine knowledge or cocktail options, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving tables, processing transactions, and maintaining cleanliness
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, cocktails, wine pairings, and basic math for processing bills accurately
• Previous experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
