Food Server (River Valley School District)

Overview

Seeking a food service worker to play a vital role in ensuring students receive nutritious, balanced meals in a safe and welcoming environment. This position involves preparing and serving food, maintaining food safety standards, assisting with kitchen cleanup, andproviding excellent customer service to students and staff. This position will be at the River Valley School campus in Spring Green.

• Prepare and serve food items in accordance with safety and sanitation standards, including basic food preparation tasks.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support meal service.
• Manage cash register operations, process cash transactions, and handle cash handling responsibilities with precision.
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and organizing food stations to ensure readiness for service periods.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing student inquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Support food safety management practices to uphold health standards across all meal service activities.

Experience would be great, but not necessary for the right candidate:

• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen practices is essential.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
