Food Service Assistant

The Food Service Assistant will provide all food service functions to ensure patients’ dietary needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Just as importantly, the Food Service Assistant will help ensure a positive and pleasant dining experience for the members of our care community. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
• Prior health-care experience preferred, but willing to train.
• Prior food services experience preferred, but willing to train.

Specific Job Requirements:

• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Dependable transportation necessary
• Excited about serving our residents and making a difference.
• Perfect 1st job for those just starting out in the workforce!
• Assist in the preparation and serving of food in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, including dining and kitchen spaces.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handler Certification standards while handling food items.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and meet dietary needs.
• Perform inventory checks and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
