Food Service Associate

Buttermilk & Bourbon - Back Bay is seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Food Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, supporting order preparation and delivery, maintaining clean service areas, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist with taking, confirming, and communicating customer orders.
• Support food and beverage service according to restaurant procedures.
• Help prepare, assemble, and organize orders for dine-in or takeout service.
• Communicate special requests and order details clearly to kitchen staff.
• Assist guests with basic menu questions and routine service needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Restock napkins, utensils, containers, and other service supplies.
• Support cashier and POS duties when required.
• Help maintain efficient order flow during busy service periods.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine restaurant duties.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, or food-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, order accuracy, and service details.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
